Jan is the first in the Fragments In Modernity series.
Jan has been created, like all the pieces in this series will be, with materials that go back thousands of years in human history. Materials like sand and earth and paper and pit lime and marble dust OH MY!
As far as Jan himself - I see Jan as somewhat of a philosopher, thinking almost sadly of all the opportunities human evolution decided to pass by.
